Who on the forum does lug holes on subs? I have an early TC 16610 that I am thinking of having drilled. Any recommendations?

i think you want 1.3mm for the case and 2mm for the bracelet

I don't think I have the cojones to do that, didn't know if there were any modders out there that did it "regularly" so I don't screw a case up...

Doing it on a case that doesnt have lugholes already is really really hard - not alot of people are willing to do those, because there's a good chance they will destroy the case.

I think PBDad does a faux lughole treatment though, where he drills in enough to epoxy springbar tips in so that it looks like a lughole watch, but they are not drilled all the way through (because getting it in the exact same spot as the existing holes on the inside is really really hard)

you are correct. if you put 2mm holes in the lugs you're gonna have a ridiculo-rattly bracelet

Not if you go with bigger spring bars, which look awesome when you polish the ends...

Yes. Drill press, wise, and 2mm drill bit.

Don't talk complete pish. 2mm is the diameter of the thick part of the springbar. If you drill 2mm holes in the side of your case not only is it going to look stupid but your springbar stands a chance of just sliding out of the case.

1.3mm is fine, 1.25mm is correct. and of course 2.1mm to modify the bracelet end links.

Thank you. I was sitting here like 'what insanity is this with 2mm tipped springbars"

Big +1 on this!

I used to always use 1.25mm but found it very frustrating to get the springbars to locate easily, i now use 1.3mm on the case and (sometimes) 2.1mm on the endlinks just to get everything to go together easily without making everything rattle.
