Lost crown guard

Despite my best efforts to avoid this happening, it appears the crown guard screws worked themselves loose and I have lost the crown guard....
(Maybe I didn't locktite enough, or check frequently enough)

I contacted several TD's, including the one the watch was originally purchased from, and got pretty much the same answer from all of them.
1: not in production, can't get the part.
2: replacement rep CG might not even fit even if one could be sourced (which aparantly can't be done anyway)

So.....is this just a parts watch now?
It's a shame if it is because it's basically still in near mint condition....
Bummer. Ah well... C'est la vie.

There was a sale for Noob 243 here about a month ago or so. Started by hushhush i think. The watch had the same problem, the seller withdraw it from the sale, saying, that he will get a replacement CG and keep the watch. Maybe you can ask him if he succeeded.

Have you contacted Toro? I got a few parts from him in the past.
The only thing about the 243 is that he can only source H factory parts now. I have a 243 noob that is currently waiting on H factory dial and hands en route.

The crown guard on ebay are $70. Was hoping a TD could get one cheaper, but they don't seem to want to mess with it

The same happened to me, exactly the same, my Pam is 535 so it's a Luminor 42mm and I am not sure the after market ones that are meant for 44mm or 47mm will fit. They are yeah about $70-100 usd. TDs didn't help either

Did you not read my post?

Yeah i did. I have never had my TD not source me parts. So not sure why yours can't. I personally think its either they want to go out of their way to do it or they just don't want to waste their time because its not profitable for them.

I dunno. I just saying that I contacted several TDs, including the TD the watch originally came from, and no one could/would source the CG for me.
Maybe I can try some more TDs.

After the mourning period is over, (when the hurting stops) I might try a few more TD's before giving the 243 a proper burial and buying a Tudor or Omega.
