Aquaracer, I came here because I was invited, and I only answered the questions that I was asked. Get it? You're worse than a nosy old lady poking your face where it's not been invited.
Now, for the rest of the *good guys* here, here's a story for you. The guy who placed the high bid is neither a Paneristi in the common sense, or a rep collector. He's just a nice old man. When I sent him the email telling him that he had made an error in bidding, and that the watch was obviouly not valued according to his bid, he immediately wrote me back and *apologized for his bid*, telling me that he was SORRY to have bid $12,500 as his max and had actually wanted to bid (hold onto your chair..) $125,000 (Yes, ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND) dollars and wanted to know if he could still buy the watch. No joke. I wrote back and told him he could have it for $300 plus Ebay listing fees and I think he had a heart attack...... The watch is now in the happy hands of a good guy who is a dedicated rep collector, exactly where I wanted it to go, and everyone is happy.
There are some kooks out there. A few are here and spend $300 here and there. There is obviously a far different world also, where people spend $100K on watches. If I were dishonest, I'd be paying off my boat mortgage today. Sadly, all I'm doing is sending another $300 to Davidsen...
Best wishes to all, well actually... to most.
