Hey everyone!
I’m on the hunt for a high quality Rolex Explorer 14270 or 114270. I’ve read as much as the search bar who show me. From what I’ve gathered, at one time there was a very good version available, but it’s no longer available.
I’ve been emailing Lucy and she said she can get one from the BP factory, but I don’t know much about it.
Any advice on where I can get one that’s good enough to be an everyday watch? Should I go with the one from the BP factory? Should try to find someone who will build one? Are there others I should look at?
My ideal would be a 14270 with drilled lugs, style off the early 90s with tritium dial. But the 114270 with solid end links is also appealing too, though I’d want on styled off the earlier 114270s without the rehaut engraving. It seems the BP version has it.
I’m also wanting something that will stand up to daily use for a long time too.
Thanks for taking the time to help a newbie out!
