Give it time. I've been watching for them for about a year now, only seen maybe a half dozen sell for under $300, and I missed a couple that sold for ~$100.
I purchased 3 regular Datejust dials to destroy for making custom dials 18 months ago. All ranged from $59.25-$77.95 with shipping. The market gets hot when everyone is trying to do the same build!

Can't believe the never wanted quartz is now the bees knees. I mean, I can. It's just surprising how things work in niche markets.

I always loved the look of these, but when I had a genuine one it ticked so loud at night I had to put it in the other room. I quickly sold it and would only buy one with the auto movement these days. This looks like an awesome build, hopefully it's quieter!

Quick mock up. Gotta figure a good method to secure the dial to the Ronda quartz movement and secure that in the case. I have gold quartz hands and a champagne DWO arriving soon too.

If I can get it all to play nice then I’ll grab a gen gold Tissot and drop it all in.

It really does come toegether pretty easily, doesn't it? FWIW, I popped out the glass crystal that came with it and added a gen Rolex acrylic crystal from a 34mm OP Date. It had to be sanded down a bit, but gives it a bit more of an authentic look. Otherwise, you can get an AliX cyclops and add it to the glass.

I’ll definitely look into that for the finished product. I wanted to make sure I had the ability to do it first on the cheap PRX.

I’d like to do a fluted bezel as well. That’s going to be tougher to find I have a feeling.

I wonder if this will work for the quartz version.

Just grab a full gold rep and slap this bezel on with the crystal you suggested.

I would imagine it's the same case...is it 35mm?

It says so. Might have to give it a try.

I have way too many projects in the works lol!!

16713, 16570 Black Dial, 16700 with 3175 conversion, 16760, maybe a 16550, and the Oyster Quartz lol

I looked on AliX for the 35mm case but can’t seem to find it. The only size they offer is 40mm. Can someone share the link or the store name?

I saw this and thought it might be a good alternative bracelet.

However, the watch only comes in 40mm and the bracelet is 22mm down to 18mm. So I don’t think it will work unfortunately.

Got a correct rotation DWO in today

That Looks awesome. I‘m looking for a setup that fits an automatic movement, because I’m not too much into quartz movements.
I wonder which bracelet is going to fit your case…

Just a thought that occurred to me. Since this is a quartz, and a quartz with a decent battery should last a year or three (or five) on a battery, fitting the stem to the case really isn't necessary. You could set the watch, drop in the movement, and be good until the battery runs down...then swap it out, and you're good for another few years. You could screw the crown down without a stem attached.

Even bottom of the line quartz watches should be very accurate, so you'd rarely need to adjust the time. Worst case scenario is that most of us in the US would need to adjust for Daylight Savings Time twice a year.

Just an option that occurred to me.

Brother, if your quartz movement is so bad that you need to adjust the date frequently, it's time for another $5 Chinese movement off AliX, lol.

I thought quartz needs date adjustment every 2 months? Doesnt know the difference between 30 and 31 and 28 right? At least on my Eco Drives and VK63 movements.

Unless it's perpertual quartz like Casio Edifice or The Citizen type watches
