Local scammer? I'm curious

Either I'm going blind, or this ad has two different watches pictured - 16613 front and 116613 back.

He's local, so I've already emailed him for a meetup. I'll know what it is instantly in person. Looking for ideas on how to mess with this guy if it turns out to be a fake. Not looking to do anything drastic or illegal/violent, but not too afraid of any tough situations either.

Tell him you are from the watch police. Make up a good name like international watch fraud inspection agency. Tell him you guys surf the net to find scammers. Watch his face turn white. Then offer him 50 bucks for the watch

I buy off Craigslist all the time. I try to meet in a public place. In the case of a high end watch like this - its best to meet at a Jeweler who can verify its authenticity. It you see it and think its fake-then tell him if you are going to pass

Raj, that is a genuine rolex, but the seller is a scam. I recognized the pic right away from an ebay seller that I look at often. He always takes his pics in his front yard, so no mistaking his watches. Here's a link.

So fry this guy. He's a scammer. The guy on ebay is reputable, so this guy stole all his pics, and the guy on ebay is from new york.

I never had any doubt that the watches in the pics were legit. I just thought the pics showed 2 different watches. There was a non-ceramic front shot and a ceramic rear shot.

I think he down or up loaded all the pics from the E bay seller,,,,,And got the pics mixed up?? It's un telling how many other scams he's running with the stolen pics from E bay???

I'll keep his user profile bookmarked and check on it once in awhile. The only other item he's selling are some Dre Beats headphones. Probably fake as well.

Ok, I was wrong. It was another guy replying to me on another ad telling me the item was gone (not watch related).

This guy finally replied to me and was very excited about my email. I offered $3000, and he jumped at the chance. Yikes. I met up with him publicly at a Tim Hortons (coffee chain in Canada) and tried to videotape the whole thing. I apologize for my horribly bad video skills.
