Getting alittle confused as I just went to the boutique to try on the santos. Took down the reference number. Its exactly the same as the link I've posted. Wrist size 6.75" here and it fits perfectly.

So the real question is...what should I tell my TD on the model? Cartier Santos 100 Ultimate Version 38mm? L? XL?

I will link you too it. I got mine from toro. This screenshot was in the details of the link you posted.

Excellent work fiveo! Its about time someone came up with a list of Cartier reps.

Shame that there's still not much info on the Tank Solo tho. I was after a dressier rep after all those PAMs and was deciding between a Tank MC and a Solo. Really wanted the Solo XL but my TD advised against it so ended up going with MC in Miyota.

Known issue with the MC is the cannon pin as mentioned and also the engraving on the movement. As it's an open caseback, the 'Cartier' wording on the back for some of them are quite off. I'm still waiting on my QC pics for them so hopefully I'll have one of the better ones.

Still hoping that there'll be a super rep of the Solo in the near future tho. That's one hell of a classy watch.

I can't even find the solo listed anymore. It was showing available when I wrote this because I remember looking at it. If you want to send me pictures of your MC I'd like to throw them up in the original post.

Thank you surf I tried to find a ladies roadster with a couple of TDs and don't see it listed if you can PM a link I'll add it.

Yeah no worries mate. As soon as the qc pics comes to me I'll send em over. Will put some shots up when the watch arrives too.

Btw, I forgot to mention that when I spoke to my TD last week regarding sourcing me a Cartier, he did say that he could source the Solo but advised against it and told me to go for the MC in Miyota instead.

My guess is that the Solo is still available out there but the accuracy and movement quality is pretty low and not worth it? If only we could push for the factories to make an updated and better version of it cause to me it's a beautiful rep. Especially for someone (me) who wants a nice classy dress watch but would look out of place with a Patek, JLC or FM when they don't come out of a Bentley and rake in over 200k a year.

Great thread. Very helpful, especially with the updated santos chrono.
5-0, what size is your wrist by the way? I'm considering a 38mm santos in the future. I'm sure it'll look just fine on my 6.5" wrist.

I'm about a 7in wrist. It wears very similar to a Pam and it's really comfortable once you put a nice strap on it.

I bought the Ballon Bleu in 42 mm steel on genuine croc with the Sellita movement for my wife from Toro, she loves it, and it is really a very very high end rep. Not cheap but worth every penny. Has a very soft and nice feel to it on the wrist, would almost be tempted to buy it a second time for myself, but I am suffering from matching leisure suit syndrome....

Any idea how much is the gen strap and clasp of the Santos? Also is the rep strap and buckle for the Santos really that bad?

one of the big problem with Roadster is the date window
