Hi, I have an old watch which I want to refurb. I need to add a couple of links so set about taking a link screw out. It refused to move so tried another and that also wont budge. I have tried WD40 at both ends of the screw. I have poured very hot water over the bracelet but still stuck. I would appreciate any ideas please before I try to drill the screws out. thanks.

Hot soldering iron on the side of the link, then WD-40, and it will go out.

Usually I would use a lighter or torch to heat up then force to unscrew them. Some times it works some times I doesn't. However do remember to wear a pair of work glove before heating them up..

Before heating them up u can clean the bracelet by using lighter fluid .. Once dry then perform the torching.:ninjagone:

Not referring to your watch, but these happen too much to rep bracelets with screws. AP rolex etc.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the info. Soaking over night in WD40 worked a treat.
