I’ve just managed to bag one of the last Daytona 6241s built by DW:

With a nice history, given its rarity and it having been a wedding day watch!

When it’s safely made its way across the pond to me, I’ll update my own Daytona photo thread, as I’ve managed to accumulate 3 VN vintage exotic dial models since I originally posted.
7750A o Mistery??

I can’t be sure - and I’m not even sure whether I’ll be able to tell once it arrives (I’ll have to re-read this thread for further clues!) - but given it’s a late one, fingers crossed it won’t be the original mystery movement.

The very first DWs (2010/2011) mounted Mistery and had a 37.2/3 diameter case and were and are highly sought after ,then switched to mount 7750A and clearly changed the case which had a larger diameter , and then vanished into thin air..........

tbh: it seems to be a standard JKF Daytona? Subdial spacing wrong, all fonts wrong, bezel is too fat, and completely wrong font. What irritates me most is the symmetric pusher layout. jKF normally has the correct asymmetric layout. You can change everything, dial bezel etc. and replace with vietnam parts. But the pusher layout can‘t be changed. The winding crown looks massive for a 6239

Do you know how I can get Vietnam dial?
Mate, have you read the thread you are posting in? Especially this thread is full of informations about getting parts. But it is important to get a best possible basic watch. Yours doesn´t unfortunately belong in this category. You are in a rep forum, you can get all infos you need with cruisin around in this forum.

Hello everyone:

Reviving this good thread with some news about 4digit Daytonas... Just saw some new models released at puretime, and I can see some improvements imo, but I would like to hear what are your thoughts:

*Left will be the new one and right the JKF/Cartel

Front:
- Bezel looks very very good! Similar to a Viet one I think.
- The lugs on the JKF was a turn off for many since are thin, and this new one has wider lugs like the gen.
- Pusher and Bracelet bad as allways!
- Dial better bus still many flaws. I wonder if it will be just as easy to install a viet in the new one?

Side:
- Crown looks bad
- The bezel profile looks good I think
- The glass is not visible well but it can be changed for not much
- The lugs are not banana shaped as expected.
- In the description it says that the thickness is 12mm, I imagine it is without the glass, but still should be better than the JKF

Back:
- It is a great advance that the case does not have the step where the crown sits.
- Something that I really liked is that the steps that the pushers have are of equal size on the new one, if you see the star/stop pusher on JKF ( left pusher on the right picture) it has a higher step, so what JKF did so that they would not look disproportionate was to install a higher pusher in the star/stop side so they looked the same size.
The problem is that when us want to installe better pushers there will be a difference in size since the aftermarket/gen pushers are exactly the same size.

Gen ase reference:

One of my modded JKF with the aftermarket pushers... it is clearly seen that the lower pusher protrudes more than the upper one, which is correct, but the upper one does not look as it should:

Engraving between lugs still bad:

Movement:
- Same movement, but I dont see the "L" leverage that the reset pusher has.

It would be good to have the opinion of collectors and the experts who work on these models:
@tripdog @kilowattore @Johnny Depp @slay @diemuse @Plantagenet
Please, if I forgot to mention someone, don't hesitate to include them.
