For Rick:

I had originally planned to build a Franken with a 1601 case. I opted to do a Datejust instead, so the case was out. I had purchased an Explorer dial off ebay, and had it for about a week when I had a brainstorm. I replaced the dial in the Explorer rep I got from Silix with the new one from ebay. It made a world of difference. All I need to do now is drill out the lug holes.

My first vintage build. I'll probably redo the hands and tone down the dial later this week.

My second build. A little more happy with this one.

Looks fantastic, I like to use 18mm straps to give it that Bond look.

I also like a bit of leather :)

Goldfinger Bond 6538 Homage

My first try at 'vintagizing' a watch.
My take on the sub seen in Goldfinger.

My latest build. It has a South dial, soldered lugs and crown tube with high bezel and plexi. It's mounted on a gunny 74 strap

1960's Universal Geneve "Golden Shadow" made for Tiffany & Co.

It has a solid 18K gold case...this was my grandfather's retirement watch.

Gorgeous piece trandy......... And the history attached makes it a proper "vintage" item.
