Thanks for the tip on the bracelet. I'll have to give that some thought. The build price has really crept up on me and I am not sure what path I am going to take yet. Getting a base watch from Silix really was an incredible bargain. It's a shame that this is no longer possible. Just to recreate the base Silix watch from parts is going to cost over $200. Then you need an Athaya crown, the crown/tube installed, lugs drilled, and it all adds up.
Here's my Puretime red 1680 with gen vintage crown installed. I have not done any aging to it yet. I'm wearing it every day and letting it age naturally.
Here it is with a Clark T19 service dome installed before the gen crown. It lasted for about 4 hours before it started cracking due to the plastic gasket. Now the rep crystal is back on.
