Leaving feedback after a sale

Do only some sellers leave feedback for buyers these days?

I thought it was a requirement to leave feedback both ways or is it not mandatory for the seller?

There's maybe 2 instances I know that the buyer saw the ad and acknowledged the asking price, then Pm'ed seller asking for PP, received email and sent PP instantly. No haggling with the price.

Then Received watch and left positive feedback but never to receive the same in return. We all know a message is received when getting feedback so there's no reason to forget, rightttt?

Little or nothing is mandatory here, really.

One can hope that we are considerate and savvy. But sadly that is not always the case.

I've had lazy buyers and lazy sellers who never left me feedback. I figure I'm owed at least a half dozen feedbacks. I should be in the upper 40's + feedback on all three forums.

Yup, you've been here for years with a lot of posts but only 2 feedback here. You're not the only member I've noticed with similar stats. I've always wondered that.. Hard to believe you haven't dealt m2m more than twice in 3 years.

Personally, I am buying and selling watches often. I usually forget. As soon as. A member asks me to place some feedback I do it right away. If you are having issue just ask th seller to drop some feedback. Usually it's a problem. Hope this helps.

I have 38+ feedbacks on Repgeek. It's supposed to be in the upper 40's, because I lost a lot due to a server meltdown several years ago that lost about 3 months worth of posts. Plus, lazy feebackers. In all three forums, I have over 6,000 posts.

I am still a bit of a feedback whore, but I figure my tenure and my post count say a lot about my reputation here. Plus, I have two awards over on Repgeek.

Leaving positive feedback is the first thing I do when I send or receive a watch.

I think of it as a common courtesy to leave feedback for a buyer or seller, it helps raise other's confidence in dealing with them and if they do a good job they deserve it.

Personally, it really erks me when ppl don't leave positive feedback, almost to the point where I think it's rude bc I put a lot of effort into making sure their watch is delivered as safely and fast as possible.
I'd have a few more ratings myself if others felt the same way :shlug:

What use is the transactional side of RWI without feedback.

It should be a two way street.

To all the members who 'forgot' to give sales feedback I salute you with this ......

I really love it when a seller insists on me leaving feedback (mentioning it multiple times) and promises to do the same.

But he actually doesn't and starts listing more items for sale.

What's the common practice for being first to leave feedback?

I usually leave feedback first as a buyer, since a seller can't easily leave me feedback as a buyer until I receive the watch. Right? Or should the seller leave the buyer feedback based on payment process alone?

I just sold a few watches, then sent a pm to a few of the buyers to find out if they received the watch OK and are happy with it. No replies and no feedback yet. Should I just leave the buyers feedback now and assume they are happy?

I leave feedback one day after I get my package. Gives me time to see it works the way it was described. In fact the last watch I bought was doa. I had to modify the stem as it wouldn't fit right. But description stated he couldn't wind it. "Fat fingers" he said but still I looked at what I got it fit the description of what I payed for so I gave a positive feedback. And I gave a review.

I leave as soon as i receive money. +1 on what nycgtr says. I would have at least double the feedback if i received all of them. Some of them wont even return your pm when you ask them. I don't deal with them again if they don't leave me one the first time as it shows their laziness..

Most commonly use is among members to members sales/trade. For TD and SV, they have their individual sales review section for buyer to leave a positive or negative feedback.

Feedback should be for all parties...TD, SV and m2m. TD and SV should give feedback on buyer for others to know if they are hard to deal with, do payment disputes or a good buyer.

Nope, the feedback system is for M2M sales, not dealers.
Members may leave feedback for dealers in the dealer's review area.
