You don't even have to leave the Ketchup on it. I just rubbed around like soap for 40 secs and it was like new. The most important thing is to get it evenly clean if you wish to let the patina develop after such a wash. Leave no spots and wash/dry off thoroughly.

Thanks Guys for the Patina removal tips.
Must admit it takes time to grow on you as your eyes are mostly used for clean evenly looking stainless steel - polished or brushed - and it is my first watch that out of the box looks like it was submerged (Submersible name seems fitting here) in the deep salt sea for some time and banged some more when it got out.

I will try to let my taste grow on that patina/neglected look - but it's good to know that using simple ketchup can transform this to a clean and shining look again.

Must commend KW for including the extra strap, "Mont Blanc" Rep pen and iPhone cover that they included for us.

Rushing things out they seem to only include the long part of the extra strap (with the holes) so I am missing the short section !? emailed them and wait for them to respond for this minor mishap

I received mine yesterday. Cleaned it up with 30mins ketchup soak and polishing with a rag after rinsing with water, but still has finger print marks how to not leave finger print marks?
Also the pearl is green :( is there any other fix to it other than relumeing it?

How come Angus doesn't have this watch? He only has the ZF version and from what I can see the KW is 50 times better!!

Someone else is using cape cod for it.. What do you think of the cape cod for this?
yeah I'd see it shiny then go diving in mud to patina it. zf is my pref but both are probably same metal with different patina. Cape cod it clean (carefully) then soil it accordingly. this one isn't meant to be shiny IMHO but looks nice.

Pretty much the whole 382 case and bezel are brushed. Are the same people who worry about their watch looking like a gen really going to use Cape Cod to remove the subtle brushing and make their watch polished bronze? I would not even place my Cape Cod in the same room as my 382!

I am really confused. Are the bezel markers misaligned?
The pearl looks aligned where as the 30 marker is off or is it some sort of distortion due the sapphire?

Watch and strap look good m8 but imho it is far too large a watch for your wrist as you are on last hole of strap and the watch face and strap are huge sorry.
Maybe post photo not so close up of whole hand and forearm as it might be just the close up shot too big looking ?

If he has around 7'' wrist he should be good. I had 187 and while it's max size for me, I love it's presence on a wrist. I wore it on second to last hole on rubber strap with my 7.1''. Not sure why I sold it but I'll get it soon again and after that I have to start saving for 382. Just love this watch lately.
