Is it just me or does the front on the date wheel look sloppy?

I can see that in some angles, but in some it looks fine. Might be because it was a prototype sample used for the pics. A proper review with a sample in hand (Ale, hint, hint  ) will definitely clear things up.

I'm so getting this one. I thought I'm done with Pam but this Kuvarsit version is a game changer.

Although I do not (even remotely) have the same impressive knowledge and experience with PAMs as ALE do, I must say I totally get what he's saying above. The 417 is the only rep I have that feels just like my gens.

And that alone makes it a unique proposition in my watchbox...

Have you held a gen pam? I have the kw417, noob 111 v3 and to me they feel pretty much similar... Though I must admit I am more attracted to the 417. lol.

the crystal, is night and day.

from the looks of it, the escapement wheel ( the one besides the balance wheel) is just for show? u can see it in the picture, as if it was glued there together with the decorated plate. i dont know but from the looks of it you're better off with an incorrect movement from the start, i mean come on the real thing/gen is flawless from behind LOL xD

I think I should not said I will get a KW PAM 312 due to the confusions.
I hope to recieve the first units of production and for review purposes.
I have confirmed today it really is not yet in its way, because they are not ready yet. KW is just finishing it now.

Following KW indications this is another project different to Angus/Noob development. If you consult Angus thread you can see it is a different and worse decoration.
We will see more things with the sample in person.
Anyway, there are many factories involved in the production of a watch or a replica and maybe many components could be the same many times.

But I think that the project of Mehmet (KW owner) is to produce replicas with a step more in finish and care for the details, more GEN-like produced and looking. We will see if he get it.

I'm very busy now at work and I'm preparing the review of Three Luminor cases and two PAM 417. Thanks to the help form Klockis we will be able to finish it in some time. Without Klockis support it would not be possible.

Therefore this new 312 review will be more "light" but useful.

Yes the KW crystal is something special, it gives to the dial a different better appearance more Gen-like. KW says that it is a gen crystal, but I doubt that the gen has this very faint purple tint (it is very subtle).

It has really the same profile that Gen crystal that Noob and H maker crystals have not, as you will see in the final review of Luminor cases and 417 KW and H maker.

Concerning the similar appearance, make a test:

Show a clean PAM 111 and a clean KW 417 with similat straps to different kind of persons: fans of watches, fans of replicas, not fans at all, old , youngs, children....and ask them what of the watches has better look as a GEN watch.
I have get 100% of KW 417 replies (direct and even fast).
Try it by yourself !!
You will get even compliments for the KW like a beautiful watch.
Not always people in general say a PAM is beautiful directly.

Yes, I have seen, held and worn several PAMs although none of them were mine (unfortunately:) and none of them were this exact model, so obviously I am not in a position to contrast, compare and comment on the dimensional accuracy of these watches.

What I AM able to compare with is how it 'feels' compared to a gen, and although this is a very broad definition of feel it just becomes so bloody obvious when you have the 417 in front of you.

Heck, I'd even say in direct comparison with some of my other brand gens, the 417 gives me same pride of ownership - and to me, that is definitely a first in reps...:)

I have to admit, i know how you feel, the 417 does have something you cant "see" but feel. First watch i've bough that I've worn for more than a week straight.... I just don't know what it is.

+1
Something special

I usually wear a watch one time each one month and a half
This is the second week I'm wearing the PAM 417.
It is true that I'm preparing the review of this watch with Klockis, but I really enjoy this watch. Believe me.

I couldn't wait for the review and ordered this today. I almost pulled the trigger on a 417 but this was just too pretty to pass up.

I think (read: hope!) the quality of finish etc is comparable between the two. However the caseback will obviously be a tell on the 312. I can live with that...
