My Pam312 movement is dead. The watchsmith cannot source the required parts.

Any idea where to get Seagull St2555 movement? One of TD`s?

Ofrei sells them. They sell them as TY2555 and claim no affiliation to Seagull, but they are the same exact movement. I've swapped before and they are the same.

Sorry for ye old thread necroing, but does anyone beside ofrei have the TY2555 in stock? I've tried about 3 or 4 online stores and they all were out of stock...
I think I'll have to poke around TDs for the movement.

Had the same problem. I've bought cheap Parnis st2555 watch from ebay. My watchsmith took the movement and put it inside pam 312, regluing the deco.

I assume that's a pretty good solution, never really thought of it.

Thanks.

Ive had my ST2555 Pam571 now for two months and it hasn't stopped running since I put it on. Always Auto wind. Never once have I tried to wind it manually. Not surewhy these things stop running in the first place for so many people.

I searched ebay for ST2555, found a couple of cheap generic chinese watches. Then I asked the sellers to give me an offer only for the movement, leting them know I was not interested in the watch, just the ST2555.
One of them was positive (greenstars0614) and agreed to place an affer for just the movemert. A couple of weeks later I received only the movement. Needless to say, I rushed to my watchsmith to replace the faulty movement or extract the pieces needed. Problem solved :)

Mine after 5 months it started freezing randomly. After taking the movement off and poking around, I found that (most likely) the main spring is broken. I didn't manage to open the main spring barrel and see if it's actually broken, but I can wind it forever and ever :))

Mine was worn in rotation about once a week, but I hand wound it daily for about 10-15 rotations, to keep it going until the next day. Never once did I wind it all the way until it stopped winding... maybe it's my fault, but hey... it's a cheap movement.

Many thanks for your reply! I've talked with greenstars0614 and he hooked me up with a movement.

Now I want an extra movement just for the parts. You never know when shit could hit the fan and your favorite piece decides to stop working.
