I have never worked on a miyota, I am not familiar with their construction, so I dont know if the stutter is a typical characteristic of them or signs of an issue.

It's a typical trait of the Miyota which is a Japanese movement along the same lines of a Seiko movement.

Typical and common enough on the Miyota 8215.
Not on the Miyota 9015 which often appears in lower cost GENS.

A feature in all movements with undirectly driven second hand. It can be minimal or very noticeable or anything between.

I've discovered the Pam 616 with 7750 has a quickset hour function which the seagull doesn't. So it's the 7750 for me!

That is not a 7750. It's a Chinese designed MVT. Balance alone leaves it inaccurate to the 7750 or the more balance correct seagull. I've only seen pics of that movement, don't know anyone with it yet, so buyer beware.

Do you know the name of that movement?

I think , Miyota 82xx stutter (and other movements sharing the same technology) is related with the so called "indirect seconds" kind of movement. It has no effect on the watch accuracy or timekeeping.
Since I have not the knowledge to proper explain/describe it, here goes an informative link...

Thanks again! So are you saying this particular mvt is Miyota with quickset HR function?

Hmmm how deep does the rabbit hole go? I talked to OP of vid and he says it is a 7750, ZF only offers 7750 or Seagull.

My Pam 312 seagull has a floating piece only after a handful of seeing wrist time. I am very careful in the use. I only flipped the watch over and looked underneath after it was not keeping the time...... Any help?
