been told mines been received by my seller. just need to decide if i want the tie strap or not . 50/50 if it makes the watch look a bit childish

Of course it'll look "childish". The gen with "childish" strap is $600 more expensive due to custom tailoring. On top of that, you can't order original "childish" strap from Chaykin resellers unless you own GEN Joker watch. That makes it even more "childish" IMHO.

I already paid for the tie strap and watch , something cool to own in my opinion, that odd time piece in the box . By the way, might have to send the watch for a prof xtal to VAC once I get it here States side

The gen has the ETA movement, the rep has a SEIKO NH35A movement.

Not sure I understand the question if this is a super rep or a NWBIG?

This might be valid for a rep Rolex, IWC, AP, etc.....but certainly not for the Joker. Where would you buy a Gen anyway?

The first 99 where already sold out on Basel World a few years back, the second batch (titanium) should be also sold by now.

Konstantin commented on IG, that this was a high quaility rep that pissed him off. I understand his reaction, but it also shows that this rep is rather good quality.

With so little gen piece out there, I think the chance of seeing a piece in the wild, is close zero.

Now with Chinese copies being stamped out, I think the chance of seeing a rep is 100x bigger compared to seeing a gen in the wild.

Main flaws of the rep from studying pics:

- size and location of pupils
- Konstantin Chaykin wording on the watch dial (slightly fatter front)
- Shape of crowns are slightly off

From looking at some vids on YouKu:
- the tongue (moonphase) goes round every 24hr, so one tongue arrives and disappears in 12hrs.
- crystal is of good quality, even a high viewing angles the crystal stays clear. Reflection cause the milking as commented on by others.

Looking at this vid it's clear the tongue (moonphase) moves one circle every 24hr.

Which is fine by me. As one circle per 29-30 days would be too static for it's purpose.

Heard others say the gen works like regular moonphase (one circle every 29-30 days)

Here it is. It's a really outstanding watch.

I replaced the standard rep strap immediately with the additional one. The standard strap is typical rep sh*t. But the extra one feels really nice. It's gen croc or alligator, very soft, smooth and nicely glossy. An absolute must for this watch.
