King Factory Daytona

Hi all,

I noticed this factory pop up recently (unless it's been around for longer and I didn't know). Nonetheless, they've got a Daytona using an Asian 7750 that's 12.4mm thick. Anyone had any experience with this factory?

I just saw these dayto on the site of a TD, and for the price I am pleasantly surprised that these watches have a perfect thickness, functional chrono and in addition 904L !

To see QC pics to be able to compare, but I'm eager to know a little more, I repeat myself but considering the price it can be a good compromise I think

For the price, I think this might be better than EWF. Gen thickness which is a plus and no pother 7750 reps have that. I'm probably more intrigued than on the market for one as I have my Clean V2, but was thinking maybe for a different colourway as a daily watch.

It's definitely intriguing, but it seems King factory is making way too many Daytona models all at once and their quality control may suffer. At almost $400: there's better options that have already been reviewed for a few hundred more, all from higher tier factories.

Agreed, I find their latest releases to be an exciting disappointment. Their ceramic Yacht-Master reps have great cases, rehaut etc, but then have a dhgate style customisable rubber strap. Looks like they're doing it half arsed and a slight step above WF as JTSWE pointed out, as they're likely rebranding themselves. Some WF reps I had in the past were sub-par for sure.

VSF is the best rep out there. JVS and the GMF V2 second, but both have flaws that aren't on the VSF.

So, hm, the details / quality of those King Daytonas don't convince me, but the silver bezel seems pretty spot on ... better than Noob used to do it, since they always did the position of the "120" wrong and the "O" from "Units per Hour" was never correct.

The numbers / positions on the bezel are still not perfect, but better than what BTF of OF are doing at the moment.
Waiting for CF to nail it with their upcoming models, but until now they only released black ceramic bezels, so we will see.

Since I own this good ol' Noob Daytona ... I wonder if I could order the bezel from King separately and use it to replace the "incorrect" Noob bezel ... does anyone know if this could work?

I can't say in person, but based on QC photos I'd go with VSF over King.

I wouldn't do that..

The fonts on units per hour are still very wrong..... PM bezels are supposed to have smaller and thicker smudge like fonts.

Yeah, you're right ... I also asked Andrew (from TrustyTime) if he thinks the KING bezel would fit on the NOOB Daytona, but he replied that it probably would not fit anyway ... so ...
My hope is still, that CF (Clean Factory) soon comes out with some decent silver / gold bezel Daytona models. And maybe then it's possible to order the bezels separately (like it is already with the rubber straps). And hopefully those "clean" bezels also fit then on the NF Daytonas ... I guess that would make a lot of people happy and they would pimp their NOOB Daytonas
