To each their own. I don't necessarily mind but for some rep amateurs it's a big deal. In that aspect the VSF case is more accurate

Thank you for this awsome effort for making a review on this watch. Seems that KING is also trying to climb the throne of VSF and CLEAN Submariners.
IMO there is nothing passing CLEAN ATM in things of rehaut which is polished from stock.
But thats nitpicking on highest niveau.

I carry an XRF tester so I can check if it's really 904l steel.

Looks great. On the pics, just looks like a couple of things off -

The date magnification is a bit high? (Looks a bit like the old ARF Subs)

CG’s cut / shape look vertical from the side - not with the slight angle?

edit - just saw Tobel mentioned the latter. Is it a real world issue and will people check? Probably not - unless your that guy who attaches animal names to the VSF like catfish mouth and spiders. But it would certainly be nicer for all of us if it was right.

The shape of the CG from above is definitely better than CF.

It looks ok overall.
To me SELs are a bit too recessed.

Dial is not better than VSF, it’s on par.

It’s surely a cheapest choice over VSF, but I still prefer VSF as an OOTB rep.

Would not surprise me if it used the same dial as the VSF - the m in 300m seems to have the same spacing.

Excellent pics! This is a very nice rep, the minor flaws have been noted. Is there any cyclops distortion if the date is viewed off angle? That is a constant nag on me with my VSFs - hard to unsee it.

^ The same guy who invented the catfish clasp also called this the spider-legs cyclops, IMO the primary flaw which can be noticed in a VSF. Would be nice if these KINGs didn’t have the distortion.
