Dear membership:
Earlier today I posted what I thought was a prviate message to Katt concerning repairs on a Rolex Day-Date, whose stem had snapped off and whose movement stopped working. The post noted that the movement still didn't work; that I had thanked him for doing a great job on fixing the primary reason for the repair -- the broken stem. Here's the problem: I have searched in vain for that post so I could correct it with updated information, but I was never able to find it. FOR THE RECORD: Katt expeditiously fixed the problem by fabricating the part himself; he fixed it within a few hours of receiving it; and more importantly, had it in the mail for me by Saturday and in my mailbox by today. Upon learning of the stuck movement, he offered to fix it again; and if it didn't work, offer a partial refund; most importantly, he gave me advice on how to get the damn thing running again -- and I did. I was VERY IMPRESSED with this person and his willingness to go above and beyond the basics to ensure he a satisfied customer. I PLACED HIS WEBSITE ON MY "FAVORITES" LIST AND HAVE HIS PHONE NUMBER IN MY BOOKLET; I WILL do business with him again when I have problems with my reps -- which will happen, as is the nature of our hobby. Any RWI member will be in good hands with this very honorable and trusted repairman and dealer.
