JVS 116610

Didn't want to hijack the existing JVS 12xxxx threads... So does anyone have any insight with regards to the 116610 from JVS? Any hands on or QC gone under the radar? The 12xxxxs are extremely popular, not so much so the older sibling. Trustytime has them on his site, the LV and LN. Wondering if any experienced rep vets could comment on what the promo photos have to offer at this point. Perhaps particularly the case shape? Could it be close to VSF/gen, the same as VSF/gen or with boxy CGs like most 116610 factory versions (from what I've seen so far)? CG pics attached for easy viewing albeit poor angle hence the question. Cheers

should be a good sub, I don't know if main substitute for VSF, but at least it has the same code on the S19 flange.

among other things there is only this v1 compared to 126610 which already has a V2 coming

Yeah good rep no doubt, just the CGs the only concern for me. Serial number could just be a gimmick maybe. CG photos are always at a bad angle. :fuckyea: Currently trying to string together a hulk franken. Just trying to find a decent base with nicely angled CGs. Clean are too unpredictable with case shapes and VSF are like rocking horse sh*t.

Yeah mate currently using a ZF base. Rehaut is really good and bracelet too. Xtal is bad but switched to Prof. Next upgrade is the case for me hence the CG check. Might have to take a punt on the JVS just hoping for some more input

I on JVS would have decided, however you have to take the risks and dangers.

Just to say, in chinese spelling the "J" means "fake". So its a Fake VS (factory).

VSF is miles from Gen. Its just simply bot the same. People should not referr to a rep when its on replicating a watch..

We are talking angled crown guards as opposed to the boxy 90 degree angles. Both VSF and gen have angled crown guards. Noone is comparing VSF to gen here. The enquiry is about JVS CGs

All good mate, no bads here. Just a positive franken hulk building thread - and I need all the help I can get as the angles of CGs in the photos are just piss poor, so please share an opinion at this point I might risk the JVS as Bjorn said and maybe try put the ZF in the CNC and see what I can achieve.

In these days I stick to the known factories, cause since these raids you just dont know what stock-part-mixtures you get under the name of a new factory.

I agree. especially if OP you have to do a frank, go to a safe factory. you just need a case with CGs that you like and above all. with solid, well-known and reliable movement.

What makes you feel that about the JVS? Was thinking of going with clean as a base first, for my project. But stumbled upon JVS and saw that the CG was way better.

Friend, what do you think about 116... Clean case? Also a little bit fatter(midcase-lugs)?
