That sucks, but this is inevitable at some point in the rep game. I've had the superclone P3000 372 and the 448 and after adjusting both run like a champ and keep really good time.
But I've had issues with damaged movement just like you with generic asian 2824 etc. lucky for me its easy to send back to TDs for repair since i live in Hong Kong, and most recently I even just ordered a gear myself to replace a part as it was cheaper than the postage back (which is already pretty cheap from Hong Kong).
