Excellent choice, congrats!

They are really great watches, especially for the price.

I'm interested in ordering a Steinhart after seeing someone's beautiful Nav chrono II.

What's the story with yours? Any pictures to share - assuming you have received it.

here is my, picked it up a couple of weeks ago when I went to Munich.
had a nice time with Guenter, he showed me his latest designs.

Great value for the money, you cannot do anything wrong.....here you get a GEN for the price of a so called super rep

By the way, the chrono comes now with english day and datewheel.....only the first 100 pieces came with German layout.

Thanks Guru - beautiful piece.

About the date wheel - I saw that; and now on the Steinhart website it does say something like "NEW English date wheel". Not that its a big deal, I actually think its a little more unique with the German date wheel.

agree on that but Guenter told me that 90% of the watches will go out of the country and more people know english then German. He is selling a lot to Asia.

90% - wow. I wouldn't have thought it would be that high, but I can certainly understand.

FWIW, I'm sure you could order a German language day wheel from Ofrei or Cousins, etc.

BTW, I agree with you about the German day wheel being cooler.

I've been talking to Gunter for a couple days now.

Think I'm going to go for the Nav B Uhr instead of the Chrono. I love the looks of the Chrono, just would never use those functions, and the price difference is not tiny.

Just trying to decide mechanical or automatic......

i have been having the same thoughts.... i had a handwind before.... and i am leaning towards that but i love the symmetry of the auto too... i want the older diamond crown though... i don't like the new crowns myself...

Steinharts are great value. Can any one tell me if the VAT is applicable if one orders it from the US?

I know what you mean, but the diamond crown is only on the larger models, right? As I type this with the PO on my wrist I cant imagine going bigger.....

I wonder if Gunter would swap out the crown?
