I'm writing to bring clarity to the toxic scammer that Bryan is, and how he'll likely never stop. Bryan has a history of watch related scams going back at least 10 years. You might even say he’s an addict, getting banned from one site only to reestablish himself elsewhere, build up a good reputation, and then go back to his old ways.
Bryan used to sell replica watches out of Texas. He was dumb enough to import a large amount of watches at wholesale prices from China, store them locally, and sell them on websites devoted to replica watches. He went by the name “Base”, and sometime in the mid to late 2000s, he started to take member’s monies on said sites and not ship watches. Rolex and the District Attorney eventually came knocking at his door, and he managed to avoid jail time by paying a hefty fine. By this time, he was already know to have stolen money from members, and he was subsequently banned from some of these websites.
He later reestablished himself as Submersible24g and started to sell watches, straps and services again. This time he wasn’t buying them wholesale, but merely buying/selling watches that he got from other members on replica sites. He also starting “modding” watches, offering services to members. This is where he started taking money for work not done, parts not replaced as promised, or merely taking forever to perform services and then offering partial refunds after mod intervention. Sometimes products will just not show up after being shipped, and he’d just blame it on the post office. When it was discovered that Submersible24g was in fact Bryan Pannell, the ban hammer came down again.
A bit of time passes, and he came back as NCChef, this time using the name Lance Pannell. He goes “legit” for a while, build up a good reputation, and no one is the wiser. By this time, he’s starting to sell genuine watches. In one instance, he sold a “genuine” Breitling to one of his own friends. His friend wanted it serviced and dropped it off at a Breitling AD. The AD forwards the watch to the Breitling service center, and a Breitling came back stating that the watch is not genuine. Bryan’s response was that his watchsmith must’ve replaced some of the parts with ETA components. Remember what I said about Bryan offering himself as a modder earlier? Yea, he’s the watch smith. He’s the one taking genuine parts out of watches and replacing them with replica parts. This way he can try to sell the watches as “genuine” and then sell the parts later and double dip on profits.
And then once people realized that Lance is really Bryan, he was banned again, followed by lots of drama as people come out and say “oh but he was so good at his work” or “he never scammed me!”
And the cycle starts again.
Much of this information is readily available if you google search terms such as “Ncchef Pannell”, “Submersible24g Pannell”, or even “Base Pannell replica”, in case you want to verify it yourself. I brought this information here because Bryan Lance Pannell just can’t help himself. Part of the problem in the past was that no one is going to report to the police that they were just scammed out of a replica watch, but now Bryan is selling watches on Timezone under NCchef73. If you look at the post history here (http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...d=121453&rid=0), you’ll see that he posted A LOT between 5/19/2016 and 5/20/2016, and almost all of them were just comments on threads. After that, he started selling watches, with some of them are coming without any boxes and papers. He sold a member (brandontran) on TRF (https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=591016) a Datejust that ended up not working. It was returned, confirmed as delivered, and Bryan said he never got it. When the buyer mentioned that it was Bryan Pannell who sold him the watch, I knew that Brandontran was just scammed. Stories of watches not working (because Bryan probably replaced the parts himself) or watches not showing up due to the fault of the USPS are just too commonly associate with Bryan. I don’t know if Brandontran got his money back, and I hope he does. But Bryan will probably just vanish a while and come back again.
He’s already banned from WUS. I assume he’ll be banned from Timezone soon. He’ll mostly register elsewhere or register again using a different name. If you ever come across him on any of the forums, it’s best if you don’t deal with him no matter how convincing he is. He’ll tell you how he’s turned his life around, that his brother in law plays in the MLB, that it’s not worth the trouble to scam people, and how everything here are lies. Nope, none of these are lies. It’s not worth the potential headache. He’s toxic.
