That sucks mate but it is a risk we do take. And you'll get a new model! But yeah I would be very bummed out about this.

I had such a situation once: there was an ADDITIONAL movement holding screw inside, blocking gears. Probably the person mounting the movement in watch case just lost it inside, took another screw and finish montage hoping that lost screw got caught in some "safe place" and the movement will continue to work. Apparently the screw moved to other position during shipment and start to block seconds hand gear. It was my first time when I disassembled bridges of A6947 to remove that extra screw and movement started ticking again after assembling it again. 2 hours of horror ;)

If it was me I would send it back to torro using option 1. Def not option 3 unless you have an established relationship with a good smith...

Sometimes these reps don't quite live up to our (increasingly) high expectations.

I know its tough when you want the watch straight away but at least doing it this way you will end up 100% satisfied (I hope)
