Speaking of lume jobs.... Does the lume actually add color to the numerals and markers? If not, is there a way to, or who might be able to, change the color of the markers? This goes back to my concern that the 089 has the wrong color markers.

Joshua's rep photo shows the correct off-white yellow-ish standard Panerai lume in daylight, non charged.
The one on the gen photo shows the green-ish charged lume, again standard Panerai color after the dial has been exposed to light.

Panerai gens don't come with green lume color (daylight), the paint color is somewhere in between C1 (white) and C3 (yellow) when non-charged. When charged (exposed to light source), it's green in color.

For example my Fiddy avatar photo on the top left shows the green dial lume after 10 minutes after being exposed to sun for 1 minute.

cheers,

babola.......

Hmmmm. As my gen is kept in an open case and exposed to sunlight throughout the day, it may always have a bit of a charge and therefore a bit of a green hue. Interesting. Thanks for the info.

I may hit up Joshua for this piece right now......ack, I'm buying another rep. My wife will DESTROY me.

I found a site stating that the gen has the cyclops glued to the UNDERSIDE of the crystal. It's hard to tell from any photos, but I doubt if any of the reps are made that way.

MK

Dunno 'bout the rest of the cyclop'd pams... but I can say with all authority that the 186 that Trusty sells is mounted on the underside... (on my wrist at this time)... and from looking at photos of many other cyclop'd pam reps it would appear that the underside mounting is done correctly on the overwhelming majority... top mounted cyclops would be a huge flaw.

Joshua got back to me and the color of the numerals and markers is a light yellowish green which sounds right to me. I will have to purchase this damn thing.
