As you all know, my favorite watch of all time is the Breitling Navitimer. Now that I've got my own place I thought it was about time to start a Navitimer club. Simply post a pic of your Navitimer to join. I'll be posting any new info, gen pics, history, or anything that I find interesting about the Navitimer here!

Here's an old photo of my Navi. This configuaration of the Navitimer is also my favorit watch of all time. I received some new camera equipment for Christmas, and I'm getting better with the lighting, so I'll post some new pictures soon.

Like Andrew, I also have a genuine black calf strap, which was worth every penny. I also have a replica SS bralelet that I never wear. IMO, the watch looks 1000x better with the leather. 8)

How much are genuine leather straps? I have a black Navitimer Series Speciale with Eta movement on order from Joshua, and would like to have the option of an original leather strap or the ss bracelet. Where in the UK (or elsewhere) is the best place to buy a genuine strap?

Here is my Navitmer, I am on the look out for a well priced gen strap (preferably blue, but brown would be ok i guess......This one i took from my Breitling flying B for now.

How much are genuine leather straps? I have a black Navitimer Series Speciale with Eta movement on order from Joshua, and would like to have the option of an original leather strap or the ss bracelet. Where in the UK (or elsewhere) is the best place to buy a genuine strap?

Brand new from an AD the leather strap is $135U.S. including a gen clasp. I bought mine on ebay for $50 cdn, but in "like new" condition the go for about $100 U.S.

I spoke with a member recently whose AD would not order a strap without the watch serial number. My AD had a box of various straps, but did not have the black 22mm.

To the best of my knowledge, you will have an extremely hard time trying to fins an AD that will sell you one without a serial number.

I see them on eBay from time to time. I would suggest searching every 2-3 days until one shows up. By the way, if you find one with a deployent, I will probably be the one that out bids you.:wink:

The easiest way to tell a gen from a rep is by the markings on the inside of the strap. I know that Andrew has posted pics of the inside of his strap in the past. Maybe he would be kind enough to supply a like to that post. If not, I can post a couple pics of mine later today.

Yes, they are marked with the Breitling name and logo, but the markings are not the same between the two. The PM is on its way.

Navitimer is certainly a legend.

I owned the old rep version which was really nice watch, but not quite nice reps as Andreww's... or the new ones. It had shiny "sticker subdials"... but the pictures greatly exaggerated the "sticker" effect.

I also owned the TT Navitimer (very briefly). My PoM watch. I don't wear gold, but I wanted this for review purposes. Absolutely fantastic rep, only the date was sitting too deep on the dial. Beautiful, beautiful watch... and if you're looking for a good TT rep, go for this one.

As much as I love the Navi they're just not for me. I don't know what it is... maybe they're a bit too dressy. If I bought a new one I'd go for the fully brushed stainless Serie Speciale.
