Thanks mate. Phong / Jensen were my last resort really. Don't mind Ruby or Yuki dials on a build like this but if I remember rightly he was like 5 times the price of a yuki dial last time. I'll give him a try anyway

yeah i reckon he is but IMO 6238 is a really rare reference both gen and rep so i guess you'll have to go for the best? May wanna look at the bezel first also if you can get a different caseback cos afaik the 6238 caseback is different from the rest of the daytonas. Also the price is 450USD which i think isn't the worst price ever hahaha.

Hi guys, received my 6263, i'm in love, its amazing! pics don't do justice :

BTW I have one little flaw, maybe you experienced guys can help me.

the clasp is loose, even locking it ( it don't do a good ''clack''), if I move my wrist the clasp will open, and I dont want my watch to get lost by the road.

how can I fix that?

thank you in advance

Just received mine also. Great overall looks. Just bracelet feeling a bit weak (light, fragile clasp, noisy), i’ll look into options for replacement. Do you have any known sellers for such items? Thanks!

Probably raffledials? Mine felt the same way, it all went away after ultrasonic cleaning and oiling it. Now it is smooth and quiet.

Solved , awesome!!!
Im officially in love with the 6263.

It came with a ceramic 116610LVHulk.

The 6263 Is soooo classy compared to the ceramic sub.

OK so I got the dial pic from Phong.

Firstly, I'll say it is an improvement on the stock for sure. Whether it is $400+ plus modding time and cost is something I will not comment on because everyone has their own tolerances.

Under the loupe, the following are observable:

1. ROLEX CHRONOGRAPH

Phong
Stock
Gen
Gen

Phong: 7/10

+ Correct spacing between H and R
+ Correct O in ROLEX
+ Correct flat A
+ Correct serifs
+ Good thickness
- R is too tall
- X crosses too low
- Alignment not perfect (L should track directly above O)

Stock: 5/10

+ X marginally more accurate
- Doughnut O like on the noon 116500 dials
- No serifs - pointy A and modern R & P
- Alignment marginally better, but not perfect

2. SUBDIAL AT 6

Phong - Gen
Stock - Gen

Phong: 7/10

+ 120 looks good - skinny like gen
+ TSWISST correctly placed between subdial and track
+ Lume dot
- TSWISST too small - should extend up to subdial

Stock: 4/10

+ They managed to fit TSWISST in
- They put it inside the track

3. SUBDIAL LAYOUT & TEXTURE

Phong - Gen
Stock - Gen

Phong: 6/10

+ Lines are pretty good
+ Font shape is good
- Font is too bold
- A touch too much of the numerals protrude the outer ring
- Grooves are too fine and protruding

Stock: 6/10

+ Not bad really
- A little bold

4. TRACK

Phong - Gen
Stock - Gen

Phong: 7/10

+ Correct spacing
- Slightly bold

Stock: 6/10

+ A good effort
- Font is too wide. This sees misalignment, especially between 500 and 400, which are too close

5. CORONET AREA

Phong - Gen
Stock - Gen

Phong: 6/10

+ Elongated 60 with serif line
- Flat ends of the crown - should be rounded
- Base hole too narrow

Stock: 5/10

+ Larger base hole
- Everything else

OVERALL

A nice upgrade. Pretty close to gen with some aging and a gen coronet

ssouthall6 that’s how it’s done.

It’s nice, unsure about 400$ . if it was like yuki price point (around half that price) I’d jump at it, I think.

I don't fuck around mate, you've probably seen my 116500 analysis!

Hands are the big big tell on these.

They're so thick

My biggest issues with the Phong dial are the coronet, the overly bold text and the subdials look too shiny/metallic. I don't think there are any gen dials with such shiny chrome subdials.

Have you considered the 6238 dial from Ruby:

Other than the coronet, which would have to be swapped for a gen, it looks pretty decent. I am not sure what Ruby charges for the 6238 dial, but they quoted me $335 for a 6263 dial.

I prefer that, but Ruby told me she didn't have any stock
