I wouldn't worry about the JF construction. All their pieces are Gen-like, so I think this bezel will be as the Gen one.

so it seems like the current prototype here by angus is a AP Black RC with a case of identity crisis not sure it wants to be the older or newer version eh?

Could you please let the makers know so they could fix this before the release?
Personally I prefer the newer style but I think it would be and easier fix to make the older one.

You're right. This bezel looks cheap. The gen has two layers of rubber, a very hard one and a softer one that tends to wear out.

Texture, screw slignment, lip make me think this is the same plastic/rubber bezel Noob uses, but I hope I am wrong. Even if it has a metal substructure, I do not think it will be OEM spec. In fact only a few J12 AP ROO reps have roughly gen spec bezels.
Not too worried about mash-up on the RC Black, as many gen owners have had customizations done like black DW, etc. In fact, it is the model with the most customizations in gen world along with BB.

Another obvious flaw is the lines on the subdial at 6:00. The older model Gen with white DW has much thinner lines. (very noticeable).

Hmm, not too sure bout this yet besides I prefer the black date wheel .... I wonder if J12 will come out with the Chronopassion too this year/soon, I'll probably get that in a heartbeat, assuming it has the correct dial colour

Anyway, assumption of customizations shouldn't be used to evaluate a model since it's not a norm to customize a gen. There's no stock RC coming out from AP looking like this. So we should evaluate the RC based on the standard features it came on the gen. If we based on the customization assumption, then all AP reps that have been coming out are correct, no need for people to change the dw, etc.

Can't wait to see how the RG RC looks, on that one its easier to distinguish the newer vs older model and ofc lets hope the bezel construction is rubber coated steel and not cheap plastic.

Yes, you are right, evaluation here should be made against a non-customized gen. I really need to see this "same quality as genuine" bezel. I am sure Angus has probably gotten 10 requests for buying just the bezel from Franken RC builders and dissatisfied Noob RC owners.

i am wondering is the construction of J12 bezel fit the Noob case? Would be good just to get the bezel itself and just swap out old noob bezel
