Final thoughts:

I’ve edited my OP to add a couple of extra pictures to complete my mini comparison. Hope I have captured everything. The JF watch is on its way to Sonil to try out one of his AR crystals.

The bottom line is that this is a very well made rep. The blue dial version does look a little dull (gray) compared to a 2018 Gen and I feel that white or black dials will pop more. The JF case and bracelet are spot on, engravings are crisp and everything in general looks and feels very well made. The rep crystal is excellent but gen is in a completely different planet in terms of clarity. Apart from that, I’m done here. Hope this has been useful....I just enjoyed taking some time out and comparing the two watches.

Thanks Mech, congrats on your gen it’s simply stunning. The Rotor is a thing of beauty.

One thing the reps don’t seem to quite have right yet is the clarity and brightness of dial print.

Very strong effort from JF though.

Nice review and thank you for the detailed write up. Question, i have a pretty small wrist, around 7, what size is your wrist and did you noticed the difference between the way a gen sits and rep sits on your wrist? (this is all due to the 1mm thicker on rep) thank you

Relax man. Look at my dial, it also has the FAT AP logo. There are different versions, some skinny logo, some fat logo.....also different letters, colours etc.

I have a 6.8” wrist and the 15400 looks great. APs are suppose to be big IMO.

Yes, the extra 1mm makes the rep ~10% thicker than gen. that is a big deal. The rep feels too thick. Ask slaughter to mod yours.
