I would like to ask what are the amplitudes of your JF 15400 V5 and if they are low on average around on 240/250

Was 230 there for my v4 and still accepted.
I don't trust thoses TDs test.
My movement works fine, runs easly 48 hours and keep accurate time.
To answer your question simply, an amplitude of 240/250 degrees is fine for this movement.

New technique or got lucky with this specific watch from JF?
A bit of both actually.. This specific watch has very good tolerances from the factory, which allows for a little more thinning from the usual 9.9mm.
As for the new technique part, the bezel is also thinned very slightly.

So I have a JF 15400 V1. I swapped the v1 blue dial for a V5 blue dial. Firstly can anyone confirm this is the V5 dial?
Also the datewheel is the same as the V1. I feel the datewheel is much darker to go with the V5 blue dial. It almost looks as if it’s black. I could be wrong since I don’t have a V5 blue dial to compare it with. Those of you who have a V5 blue dial what do you think? I’ve posted a link below, for the images . Please share your thoughts, and will be great if you can share your blue dial V5 pics aswell.

Hey! Is it worth picking up an JF V5 or should one wait until V6 is available? On that front, any news or rumors regarding V6? I mean the V5 have been out for a few months, feels like if I go get the V5 now the V6 might be just around the corner and I’ll regret not waiting. Greetings

Legend's reputation don't need to be vouched but he did the thinning work on my 15400 and the job is spectacular, I will make a little review of his swiss made like job.
I can only commend his service, shipped from EU to SG without issue, received the watch back fastly and well packaged!

Hey Legend hows it going? Firstly great choice of vernier, i ordered a dti from ebay and got a ‘miluloyo’... no lie! Watches aren't the only things being repped! Are you measuring from bezel to case back or crystal to crystal? Ive had luck with 9.8 metal to metal on my v2 but the crystals are another 0.2 per side. I tried a 0.8mm thick crystal on the back and if im being honest it feels weird despite being thinner.

V5J = v5. It's a designation used here to distinguish the first batch of v5's with the older dial.
