Why JF doesn't focus on new models that haven't been repped is beyond me. Anyone who wanted one would have already bought the noob versions

No more black bezel watches please.... so ugly.

Reason for these re releases is because it is easier to copy a Noob rep than start from scratch. We saw it with the Gentleman Driver where they even copied the wrong print direction of the 240 that is found on the Noob.

I don't see much reason to upgrade, as Slaughter said its one of the better models that Noob copied, with the exception of the 5 and 7 marker spacing (which you don't really see unless you take a macro shot) there's not much else to improve, certainly doesn't warrant an upgrade for me, I don't see how they will sell that many. saying that I may try and snag a new bezel as that seems to be the main improvement. Anyone who followed the release from Toro will know they messed up in that regard.

Oh. and another thing, this is one of them watches that looks like crap in photo's, all that rose gold against black doesn't look good until you see it for yourself in person, beautiful piece!

Agreed, no upgrade for me either...
Also, would a JF RC Bezel fit over the Noob version, I don't know and to be honest, not sure I'd bother trying, its a nice watch but not a daily wearer for me..

Nice, but these are Noobs best two 42mm ROOs IMO. Very little upgrade incentive for me after the mods I poured into my Noob versions of these. Like many, I would rather see other models, rather than re-issues.

+1 I'm with Slaughterer on this one. The Noob DW looks more accurate to gen anyway. Although I haven't been able to track down a Noob 57th on m2m, so this might be my only option...unless someone has one they need to get rid of ;) :waiting:

especially the 57th street-- when it came out they had to tank the price to get rid of them. I've had 3 of them and each time I got one, the anticipation was more than the reality.
If you want to redo the oldies - go to Juan Pablo Montoya or Rubens. both top notch pieces that I am sure would sell out and they have multiple flavors of each- plat, rg blue dial- white dial black dials- I'd buy the whole darn series no both if they did a great job.

Breakdown: J12 models have better cyclops AR and with 57 have a better RC bezel than Noob "plastic clad" bezel and, yes, J12 always have better screws and screw taps, if that is what matters to you (why not?). But then they have the wrong date wheel print, and the mid-case often has problems with pusher cut-out machining and back-case machining (pay attention to that during QC, as it is a major PITA to reshape the pusher cut outs). In fact, the pusher construction on J12 is not really that good, and I have 5 J12 sec@12 movements (not all mine) that have broken down and stopped working for various reasons. So: feel lucky punk?

Yes, we should start a thread called "THE BIG ASS MISTAKES OF J12 FAC WRT AP ROO REPS"

1.) Da BIG "iced 7" on the Ginza 7
2.) The big AP logo on 57th St.

The only reason to get this would be the rubber bezel. Noob rubberclad bezels sucks bigtime - the screws damage the bezel. I had to buy 4 rubber bezels at like $30 a pop to make my Noob 57th St perfect without bezel damage. These JF bezels are very good.

- 42mm is the wrong size. The correct size should be 44mm for Offshore 57th Street.
- Also 6:00 Subdial lines are way too thick than GEN.

watch_freak the size is correct, don´t worry about it. What is wrong is on the link you show to us. Probably those folks consider the size including the crown as well.

Personally I am not a big fan of the latests creations from the JF, they literally f****d up the beautiful Montauk Highway, here are the images speaks from themselves:

JF on the left Noob on the right:
