Please don't flame me... i know the "search" button, i checked the trusted dealers i did everything good (well i hope so)

Ok then,
I have a GEN GMT IIC rolex, but i'd like to alternate with an other watch.

I'm trying to get a "almost" perfect J12 men 39mm rep.
I know prefect reps don't exist..

Well so i have read that in general Chanel reps are good.
i don't know what to choose between thos 2 :

the second is twice the price of the first but is said to be better quality.

Can anybody help me, i have spotted a few differences thanks to the pictures, but i would like to know is "is the 228$ any good ? and should i really put 498$ in the 2nd one"

i have read that STAN has a very nice one, time4direct has some nice J12 too.

What i would like is to find a dealer in EU or CONUS (i'm based in France... customs or okey but we never know).

Ideally a French guy owning one and kind enough to call ( ok i'm a dreamer... but i'm not the only one...)
Anyone has a J12 to sell 2nd hand with quality pic ?

Do you know if the bracelet is really ceramic ? if yes, then he shouldn't get scratches .... do you know if it's the case?

I am french too....and you post really interest me! Only french people are getting Chanel watch?!

One year ago, I would like to get a rep of the J12 Superleggera. After few comparison Gen/rep, the rep seems too bad for me. I save (a lot of money...) and I get the gen, with the rubber strap (not the ceramic one).

After that, I still want to get a black Ceramic J12 but, because 80% of the Chanel you can see are fake watch, I am really looking for a perfect one.

I spend time on the offer from Hont (one of my favorite dealer), and on the picture, the watch feel too...how can I say, cheap for me. I notice that the bezel and the strap are not looking as great as I can expect so I didn't buy the watch. For information, it was a 80$ watch with 21J movement inside.

To go back to your question, I think, most of the price difference are about the movement. In the 230$ watch you should have a ASIAN ETA inside, and on the 500$ watch, you have a Gen ETA inside (hope it is true at that price...!).
Most dealer have the same "watch" and change the movement regarding what the customer wants. So to give you a quick idea of price, for a basic watch :
21J movement : around 70-100 USD
Asian ETA mvt : around 100-150 USD
GEN ETA (this has to be checked....) : at least 200 USD

In my opinion, it's a risk to spend 500USD in a watch that has (almost) never been sold. You can go to the cheapest one, you should get more or less the same quality than the 200 US watch.

I know that on all Chanel Rep you can see here, this is real Ceramic. I heard that you have to be quite carefull with it because few members already broken their strap.

Anyway, keep us up to date of what did you get, and provide us a picture comparaison between your Rep, and your Gen. As far as I know, this has never been done!

So the Bracelet is kind of weak and can break ? :-(

The 500$ model seams much better regarding the pictures (if the pictures are really from a rep)

and 500$ is only 340€ it's 1/15 of my Rolex.


Puretime is pointing out the fact that on the 500$ it's different ceramic (korean quality comparing to regular one).
