I must be the only one who thinks the GP, RB and JPM are massive steps back design wise compared to the Schumi and LBJ.

For me the best APs are already here. There are no exciting new releases to come. Just new releases.

Am very interested in your thoughts on the Plat GP Jonny. Im still on the fence and its really only the caseback that is swaying me to likely buy it rather than design.

I like it.. the dial isn't has bad has its made out in the TD pics (or my pics for that matter.. again, poxy camera phone, blame the tools i say!)

Looking at $800 replicas of $40-$50-$60k Gens?

I wonder if the replica handbag forums are as bad??

First thoughts (and bear in mind my expectations maybe lowers than some/most on this forum...)
Is they've done a damn decent job..
As you say, its a $800 Rep not a watch the other side of $50K
You get what you pay for and on first impressions (yes $800 is a lot for a rep, although I got mine from Ryan and its $788 ) but this is a lot of watch for that money!
Yes, there's the obvious/standard AP rep flaws so won't highlight them..
There maybe the odd issue with the this that and t'other but you know what, I don't care, I like this watch for what it is not what it isn't..
The dial, seriously, its much better in person than in the pics of the TDs and even my Pics which again aren't that great...
I like it so much I'm seriously considering getting the RG GP when its released!

Absolute stunner out of the box. Dial color is not that bad looks fine! I'm sure the construction is top as all J12s have been!

Agreed, my pics don't do the dial justice.. again its not Gen good, or Zorro good or Mod'ed by Slaughter good but out of the box its not bad at all!!

This looks fantastic so much better then the TD's pics. I hope the FC GP looks better in others pics. We're still waiting on the RG also come on...

I'm not 100% sure it is.. the 3D effect of the dial gives you the different shades of blue to give it that effect but I don't believe the dial is...
