J12 for girlfriend?

Hey all, I'm torn between these two models.

1) Do the diamonds look good on the 33mm one? I don't want them to look like fake Chinese ripoffs.
2) Is 38mm too large for a woman?

I think diamond less is more popular. I just received 38mm in black no diamonds, 38mm is not too big these days, but if are not sure let her try different size watches to get the sense of what she is comfortable with. There are plenty of copies of Chanel J12 look a like (guess, fossil, dkny, bulova).
