Great to see people still interested in getting a 3717 - it really is a stunning watch.

Unfortunately I've had a problem with mine - the movement just stopped working a few weeks ago. When I opened the caseback, there was a small loose part.

Hont has promised to repair, which is great of him, so I'll keep people posted with how it goes.

guys,

i usually buy everything from hont (except big pilots, as the ones with non-recessed datewheels are only available from the cartel).

hont is the best. his english is not that good, but sufficient to make transactions.

i usually wire him the money to his bank of china account. that works perfect for me, using e-banking.

the money takes like 5 days to arrive, and then hont takes some days to pack the stuff, and ships it.

always a pleasure to deal with him.

best

I haven't visited the forum for quite a few months, but thought I should keep people updated with my purchase:

Hont is excellent. My watch was repaired with minumum fuss, and I just needed to pay the out-going shipping costs. It is still working absolutely fine. No issues whatsoever. It keeps time really well, and only requires winding if used in the chrono mode, otherwise I only need to wind it if left for >48 hours.

Good luck in your purchases!

Hi guys

Just wanting some advice here. Unfortunately my beautiful IWC 3717 has stopped working. The day wheel became stuck "between days" and now the watch won't wind up. Really gutted as it was a great guy initially.

What should I do? Do you think Hont would repair or replace it two years later?

Why is this a joke? I'm genuinely asking! Are reps only expected to work for two years max? Perhaps this should be more widely publicised if this is the case.

And am I totally unreasonable in finding out whether or not a repair can be done?

I think not.

Dude, even Rolex and the like only have a warranty period of two years. Yet you are expecting someone selling you a cheap Chinese replica to offer you better service than that. Enough said.

You can certainly ask him but probably won't get anywhere after two years. If you really like the watch, you could contact one of the watchmakers from this forum, more than likely it can be fixed and would need a service anyway.

Doh..........

Remember it's a replica from China dude !!!

Email Wiz he'll sort it mate..............Had my 3717 from marvellous for only a couple of months before it packed up. Spend £100 on it and it'll last another few years.
