A while back I ordered a Big Egi, mostly as a novelty for its size. When I got it, I loved it, the style really grew on me. At 60mm though, not the most practical watch to wear all day or to work. Since then, I'd been waiting for a nice pam sub to come up for sale. I finally gave up and ordered an 024d from Davidsen. As usual lately, a 187 showed up in member sales a few days later(and before the 024d had arrived). I figured it is different enough to have both, so here they are.
The 024 from davidsen is probably my favorite, it even came on a pretty nice rep strap! I like the 187 too, though it has a couple scratches, probably nothing worse than I'd do to it within the first few wears anyway, but the horrible rubber strap has to go...
One question, the bezel on the 024 can be turned in either direction, am I correct in assuming that it should not be that way, even on the rep? Since it's supposed to be a dive watch I assume it should only turn one way, right? I can live with it, It's attached securely, and no noticeable "slop" where it is next to the case.
Here are some pics, hope you enjoy:
44mm,47mm,60mm:
Lume shot - the 187 has supposedly been "ziggified" whatever that means...
Oh, the Big EGI is the modern dial version, bought from puretime...
