:lol: I can't tell the difference in temperature... The fingernail still works better. However, you have to tap a few watch's crystals and be certain of what they are before getting good at it.

Sapphire should sound deeper "TUK" and glass will be louder "TICK".

... and hardlex sounds like sapphire.

If a dealer says it's sapphire and stakes their reputation on it, you should have no qualms about drawing a stanley knife across the crystal. If it marks, the dealer sold you a lemon and you get a refund. If the knife does nothing, it's sapphire.

Take a mineral glass watch and one with sapphire. Touch your chin with the glass(one at the time) and you'll realise that that Gen sapphire always feels much cooler than mineral. ITS TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whether in normal room temperature or a hot sunny day the sapphire will feel much cooler than the mineral!

Test it now guys and post your findings here!!!!

I tried this with four different watches and they all feel the same......of course I have a beard so that may have something to do with it. :wink:

Here are the results from the Swedish jury.

There was quite a big difference in temperature but I have to say that some of the cooler ones has big scratches in the crystal.
Btw I used my lips to measure temperature, so now i've made out with all my watches. :shock:
