Issue with my new ARF 116610LN SH3135 V2

Hey guys, I’m a bit salty as I haven’t been having luck with these reps. So I just got my ARF 116610LN v2 in today and noticed the bezel was not seated and had lots of play. So I took the Basel off and discover that they placed the bezel without the rubber ring being inside the bezel. So now I put the ring back but for the life of me I can not snap the bezel back on the watch.

What I’m upset about if I feel like Puretime should have noticed the bezel not working and not seated correctly before shipping it out. Can anyone one help please, what am I doing wrong?

Definitely a small bummer but don't feel too upset, this is probably a nice easy fix since it's just the bezel. I will say that I'd be surprised if the TDs had caught this! Totally understand the disappointment of getting a rep and having issues right away though.

I can't provide much advice since I mostly know about 5 digit reps, but I'm sure someone will be along to provide advice before long

Thanks. I hope I can figure this out.

U.K.
I can see the white hytrel ring in the picture inside the bezel groove so it should snap on nicely.

It'll be fine, you'd be in a way more annoying position if you had a movement issue or something of the sort. Fortunately bezel issues are in the relatively small category of things you can usually sort out yourself.

Until someone gets back to you here, it might be worth looking through youtube tutorials on how to re-mount a bezel onto an 116610. I'm pretty sure the ARF is gen-construction so maybe you can figure it out like that.

BK told me this was a common issue with ARF’s

Won’t sit flush because the gasket maybe ruined..or not tight, retaining ring was pressed on wrong from factory. I know some people here used fishing line to help. Or maybe it’s a common ARF thing

Try removing the nylon gasket and turn it upside down and reinsert it. I can't speak for ARF, but I know for certain that the Noob gasket has a tiny stairstep profile to its vertical side. If you put it in upside down you can still reinstall the bezel but it won't turn. You might be experiencing a similar scenario wifh a different result. Note: the bezel will likely be significantly harder to remove now that it's on with the gasket in place. Be careful and mask off your lugs before taking a blade to it. This is what I use.

Thanks, I did flip the gaket but Im unable to snap the bezel on the watch. I did notice the stairstep but i think it only goes in one way. I emailed Puretime to see what they say and in the mean time I will order a new gasket. I feel like its an issue with the milling not the gasket.

The Noob gasket will go in either side up with no complaints. The proper orientation of the stairstep should be wider on the bottom, narrower on top. So if you look at the bezel from the underside you should see a tiny portion of the gasket evenly protruding away from the groove, toward the center, all the way around. The bezel should be harder to install with the gasket properly inserted and now may only need to be pressed in with a crystal press and a bezel die. Sometimes I have done it with just the heel of my hand and a die with the watch head flat on my bench. Obviously you want the insert OUT when doing this. You may be almost there!

I took the bezel off on my Noob V9 and noticed the stairstep was different then ARFs, with was a bit bigger. I tired pressing down with the stairstep reversed but it will not go in.

I think its the gasket. I removed my Noob v9 bezel a few times and now it has a similar play but not as bad as the ARF :(. I just ordered new gaskets so let's see what happens.

The gasket needs to be oriented with the wider part down, closer to the case. This will catch the lip on the retaining ring or case to keep the bezel from coming off easily. I'm not surprised you can't put it back on without proper tools. If you really want to do this without proper tools you can improvise.

A vice would be really useful. You can buy a short PVC plumbing coupler, you'll have to search for one the right diameter at Lowe's/Home Depot, like this. Take the bezel with you to search.

Have a look at this post for reinstalling a bezel with a vice. You can also tap it on with the coupler and a rubber mallet if you remove the movement first. Whatever method you might try, make sure the gasket is fully seated before compressing the bezel down. If the gasket gets twisted or caught partly out you'll play hell getting the bezel off again.

Where did you order gaskets from? The ones from ebay never fit right. Others have used correct diameter fish line with success I've not tried that.

puretime I am waiting on 2 of this very piece from puretime. What can I do in advance? Can I ask puretime to ask arf to send me a pair of backup gaskets? Or better yet, is there a modder that I can send them to as soon as I get them?

I had that same issue. Part of the ring was squeezed between the base and the bezel. My TD shipped it out without notifying me about this.
I ended up using a scissor and cutting away the 1 x cm demanded part. I now had a ring that was not one continuously part, but it fit easy inside the bezel.
Bezel feels firm and has never come off since.
