I am not offended. There are those with that warrior mentality that will understand and those who do not. This is getting a bit off topic but to expand on the point I will say this, I enjoy war. There is no greater thrill than the one I experienced overseas. I can ride a motorcycle, chase women, go skydiving or any other adrenaline type activity but the pure rush that comes from that environment is one that can't be matched anywhere else. I know it sounds crazy and few will every really admit it but if you are close to a Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine that has deployed chances are that they would go back in a heartbeat.

It is no different than what draws cops and firemen to their jobs. I was a police officer before I went to the Army and it is the same mentality. The point is that it is something that words can't ever describe and it is why most veterans are so proud of their service. It is something earned and an experience that can never be duplicated.
