Is this Rolex gen?

Hi guys,
Considering picking this up this evening, got a good deal on it.
The only issue is that it has the purple dial on a 2008??
Is this right?

Here's my Franken. All gen except for case (reworked TC case] and movement which is a yuki 3135/ gen hybrid. I'm sure you notice the difference in appearance....

That's a crazy franken-build Tobias. I know these watches and I would swear yours is gen.

Do you have a plain stainless clasp (which this model should be, if I'm not mistaken)?

The real question is why did rolex actually make that in gen such a clash of colors.

But more on topic, looks quite fake imo. Insert and bezel teeth look really off

I don't mind purple on the 114300 grape dial where it doesn't clash, but the blue/purple combo is hidious imo.

The dial looks like the BP from this thread. The only purple 16613's I am familiar with are the 80's-90's Tritium dials that have faded from blue, 2008 "swiss made" with this color seems wrong unless it is a rep.

As others have pointed out bezel, pearl position, triangle, cyclops, and I would add lack of chamfer on bottom of crown all look very suspect....although I have learned not to trust a lot of what I see in pictures due to camera angles etc.

Case itself is not bad.

I would not peg this as gen.

Put it on a scale and see if the weight matches gen. That should be the easiest way to tell. You can also open the case and see movment,

Yep. Purple is a no go on that model.

There are some nice purple/brownish dials from the 1680 era.

FYI, there is definitely something fishy about OP's watch. engraved rehault with flat four.

That being said, its not unheard of to have older 16613 dials change to purple so you can't always claim fake because its purple.
