If in not completely wrong, Gen 2008 versions does have a noticeable blue AR shine.
Versions after 2008, does not have a easily noticable blue AR.

And to open the back, you need a proper watch-tool to do that..

Ah right thanks. Yes it is an '07 watch so that would make sense with the slightly blue AR.

I bought my Gen PO on eBay. With no box or paperwork. The sales pics looked like the last version. (2500D) Lucky for me, it turned out to be the real Macoy. Phew!

Don't take the back off, Just look at the serial! The reps/frankens etc have that unmistakeable serial (which I can't remember now ) 81866988 or something like that, check a TD site for that.

Also when you wind the watch how does it feel? Buttery smooth, hardly any resistance at all? ...and that will be the 2500 (eta 2892 based), the reps 99.9% of the time will have 2824/2836 which will have a much more noticeable feel in winding.

All looks gen either way.

Looks good to me. As drbollocko said, do not open the caseback on your on. Serial will be a quick and easy check before bringing it down to an AD.

I'd say that's a gen. But, BUT: you can get gen dial, gen datewheel, gen bezel, gen hands, gen crystal, gen crown and still fool even an AD. THat's why I will now no longer get an gen PO off the internet anymore.
