Is this movement Asian or Swiss?

I'm probably being too simplistic but doesnt a finely stamped ETA under balance indicate it is swiss?

Yes and no. There are Chinese movements that are stamped and printed with ETA and 6497, but the stamping looks different. I've seen several Chinese movements with ETA stamped on them as pointed out by Tourby and others on this forum and RWG.
