Hello
I've got this from dealer, supposedly SW200 - can it be confirmed from this picture?
Its got issues, it stops, then when i unscrew the crown it starts again - very odd, havnt had these issues myself before.

That's an SW300. The 300 is a ETA2892 clone.

I cannot tell if it's a real 300 since there is no stamping under the balance wheel.

Hi, to be sure it ‘s a genuine Swiss movement you have always to check for a deep “SWISS” uncolored sign on the movement .

Hmmm, so not an SW200?
Do I make a fuss about it if it was sold to me as an sw200? A bit irritating seeing as somethings broken on it it seems!

The SW200 doesn't fit in the Ingenieur. The SW300 does, but this isn't one.

Was it sold to you here at RWI?

If I was you then I'd replace the movement with a Sea Gull ST-18. You can get them for little money.

Nah it was sold by TD and in the offer they stated it to be sw200. Paid a premium on the watch when compared to other TDs but figured if it was Sw200 might be fair

Ask the TD to refund you, because this is no SW200. File a help desk ticket if he refuses to.

There has been some reports of V7F selling watches with SW300 or ETA 2892 that turned out to be A2892 in the end. Seem's like yours is another one.

This is a SW300:

This is an ETA 2892:

And this is an Sea Gull ST18 (like yours):

Check the missing gravure close to the balance wheel. No doubt you didn't get what you paid for.

Glad, I could help.

Let us know how the TD reacted.
I havnt spoken to td about this yet. Initially the movement was acting up, it stopped running, then when I unscrewed the crown it started again, but since it has been stable and running for a week - although a bit fast.
But the seconds hand does not stop when the crown is unscrewed, it doesnt stop in any of the positions. Should it?
You are saying this is an ST18 and not a 2892?

Ask the TD why he charged for a sw-200 when it is a SW-300. then ask him why the SW-300 has no stamp under the balance. (Asia clones dont have that. Some eta clones have, also sellita, but afaik no sw-300).

Specifically it's a Seagull ST1812

The movement should hack (stop) when you pull the crown to the tile setting position.
