Is the Swatch ETA 2842 a drop-in replacement for ETA 2824?

Would the movement from this Swatch (eta 2842) be a drop-in replacement for 2824 or 2836?
I found an ebay seller selling new old stock swatch automatics.

Has the same dimensions as a 2824 but you need to use a specific movement holder as you can't use movement tabs & screws.

Thanks. I did see this method in an old thread. It would require some serious watchmaker skills however.

In that thread they were swapping out some bridges to make it look like a clone movement. If you're just using it for a closed caseback watch, you don't have to deal with that. I believe the hand size is the same for the 2824 and the 2840 at 1.50, .90, 0.25 and as Tripdog said, the important difference is the movement holder/spacer.

I read it as, using the main plate of the Chinese movement allows it to be secured in the case.
