is this true? anyone have a link or pics of these measurements? did my search and came up with nothing.. thanks

I could check for you but I'm not about to touch seanf's d*ck..

It would be really hard to measure none the less see a 0.1mm difference IMO.. I think it's unlikely that anyone is going to have reference material for you on this, but I've been wrong before!

And if they do... I'm going to be scared! :shock:

if the hardcore nitpickers can see a .2mm difference then for sure thay can spot a .1mm right? 8)

I think it would be trivial to measure that assuming you had the watch apart and the crystal out, however anyone being able to eyeball that and know, maybe 1 in 1,000 could do it.

Whew, man I have some reps I love wearing that have some glaring inaccuracies. I can not imagine agonizing over such tiny discrepancies. But to each his own I am sure for some the search for the perfect rep is part of the fun. More power to you.

I guess that all goes back to the can you spot a bad rehaut at ten paces theory. I couldn't care less either. If they're gonna get you it will be on the 316.

well... once again, the "perfect" sub IS available. It's just a tad more expensive than the Asian nooby at $5K, but can be had used for around $3K. I swear after all the mods, one can spend well over $1K on a rep; might as well go for bang!

Otherwise, I personally can live with a .1mm difference, especially if I can live with bad CG, crown, logo etching, pearl, thickness, etc.

There's no way the chinese are making two cases- one asian 21j and one eta. And I agree, who can see .1mm? We already know there are inconsistencies in production, small pearls, thick date font, and sure there are probably things which affect the look of the rehaut like the way the crystal is set. And lately, I've noticed the cg's are looking a little better. These watches are like a moving target, constantly changing.

You know, this kind of trash talk is a dying art. The younger set doesn't get into the questioning of ones sexual orientation like the good old days. In fact, when I had my version of a midlife crisis and got back into playing rugby a few years back, I had to "un-learn" this form of trash talk because the guys really thought I might be playing for another team since none of them bantered this way.

Height, weight and just plain attacking of skills & speed (+or lack thereof) semed to styill be fair game.

Ahhhh we are the last of the old breed gentlemen.

Just FYI, Ciso, the confusion may have come in the form of your trash talk. There's a big difference between something like "Dude, I'm gonna make you toss my salad!" and "Hey, after practice, what do you say about catching dinner and a movie? I think they've got a Barbra Streisand film festival going on right now. But I can't see Yentyl. That movie makes me tear up everytime!"

Well ciso1969, I can assure you in the offshore industry this form of trash talk is alive and well. This business is not for the thin skinned. I know what you mean about the younger guys. When they first get out here they are definitely at a disadvantage. It is an awful lot of fun watching them slink off.
