Hi everyone, I just recvd some qc pics for my order of a 116613lb from a TD. I keep asking for different pics because it looks like the magnifier is crooked. I know it could be the angle but just not sure. Wanted some other opinions before GL or RL. Thanks!

Hello and WELCOME from the official RWI reception desk!

You are receiving this introduction because you either posted in the "new members say hi" section or —for the first time(s)— elsewhere. In the latter case, consider introducing yourself in the aforementioned section.

If you haven't already, please make sure to read all relevant sticky threads. They contain important and essential information such as the forum rules! Most importantly the sales rules, because you will NOT yet be eligible / allowed to sell unless you meet certain criteria / are certified first.

A good starting point is this list of resources on RWI:

Please also take another look at this important sticky that you should already have seen after logging on for the first time:

This quick anti-fraud guide is essential if you are about to order from a dealer for the first time:

If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me or @Feefo!

We will gladly help, but please allow some time for PM responses as we have lifes outside of RWI!

Hahah, forgot to introduce myself!!! I am Fin and a watch enthusiast like everyone here. I have been collecting reps for about 20 yrs on and off. I read lot of the forums and have learned a lot. This is the first time I am confused as to the pics. It seem like it may be the angle. Everything else looks "Clean" pun intended. Thanks again!

A little crooked, but within tolerance for a rep watch.

The date wheel's alignment isn't perfect either. But I'd say that's also well within rep tolerances.

The main experience about rejecting watches, that every veteran on here has made, is this: The next watch won't be perfect either. The only difference is that it just may have imperfections in other details.

The Swiss watch industry has high tolerances as well. Their time pieces are also manually assembled, but cost X times more than reps.

I agree! I've never rejected one before and was worried about that same thing. What will the next one have!

Here is mine, to the naked eye it often looks crooked, I thinks its just parallax effect. As these pics show its fairly well line up.

Good point. I think you're right...

If you compare the horizontal alignment of the loupe with the horizontal alignment of the "15" marker on the bezel, the loupe actually appears to be rather perfectly aligned.

But the date window kinda looks like it was cut out crooked. Which is unlikely. So the crookedness is most likely just the "natural distortion" of the lens effect of the loupe.

Honestly, I would greenlight it. The date wheel alignment is also not bad enough to legitimately reject. Well within specs, in my opinion.

But ultimately, it's the customer's money and thus the customer's call.

I've a GMT that looks about the same, it doesn't bother me to be honest. I'd green light it.

Thanks for these. I decided to just accept it because everything else looked good to me. I was afraid as the other moderator said the next one could be worse.
