Is the 1mm lug with different and bracelets difference in the Explorer 124270 36 a tell on the wrist for someone who owns the real one?

If he carries a meassuring tape in his Pocket and wants to meassure his cock, oh sorry meant clock with you, yes it's a tell if the lug width of the rep is different.

But do you really think this will happen?

A crooked 12 Marker will be more noticable.

Don't worry about it.

Are all the reps of this model the wrong lug width with the wider 20mm bracelet? I'm unable to see the specs of some of these thay are listed. Thank you

Honestly, the Explorer is one of the least seen models in the wild. At least in my AO. Most people seem to be drawn to the divers. I've been wearing my rep since Tuesday and my own wife hasn't even noticed it and she's fairly observant.

With that said, does the rep 36mm have 20mm lug width instead of 19mm? Hell, that'd be a selling point. There are a lot more straps available in the 20mm width. The 19mm lug width is one of the gripes people have with the 36mm gens.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not worried about it so much, I'd just like to know what it is before I buy one. If its 20, then great since all my existing straps will fit. If it's 19 that's fine too as it would be a better rep for it. I just want to know which factories are doing which ideally. If anyone happens to know that is?

The specs aren't freely given on these so I'm guessing it's probably the 'incorrect' 20mm 🤷🏻

Its BPF pretty much mate. Most accurate but as mentioned it has the wrong lug width.

Valid point on not much in the wild.

It also doesn't have any of the popular styling cues that the general non-watch public associates with Rolex. I doubt many people even give them a second look. Unless of course they're a WIS, or own one themselves, but I don't come across many of those in the wild either.

So, it's a double-edge sword for those looking for status with a Rolex Explorer I, on the one hand it's probably one of the most 1:1 reps out there, at least with the 39mm. But not many people will recognize it as a Rolex. It's just a basic tool watch. Or at least in my opinion that's what it was meant to be, and what it should be today.

The fact that they are selling at ADs for $7k-$8k and in the grey market for over $10k is absolutely absurd.

I was kinda curious about this too. Any JDF, GMF 124270 owners can say if these are 20mm or 19mm lug width? I was hoping Clean or VSF would take these on, but no luck yet I guess.

Definitely not if they're not RWI veterans. 😂

Trust me, the average gen luxury watch owner doesn't even know that there are different lug widths.
