Is PAM 111 a worthy addition?

I'm about to get my first PAM111 and I think noob's PAM111 latest version (v3) is the greatest copy. cmiiw.
what is the different btween M and N version on noob's.

But now you are asking about the same matter here.

Well, thread about V3 was started concretely to answer your questions about V3 and M and N versions. There are more 500 post in that thread because the answer is not an absolute one.
You need read the compelte thread and take your own conclusions and if you have some concrete doubt ask the members for a solution.

Anyway you have no options: V3 is better than V2 and N is better than M. But you cannot change things!! If you get a V3 you will get the V3 manufactired by Noob and you need to agree with that. No possible changes. Why do you want to know exactly the real improvements?. But if you are strongly interested, then read the ccomplet thread. That's all my friend.

Anyway if you want to improve V3 you can made the usual mods for this replica as indicated in:

Yes. Concerning accuracy, of course you are completely right and I agree with you.
But many people prefer the sandwich dial and the display caseback although the evident flaws.

PAM005 is sweet. I'm pretty sure you won't regret it (assuming you don't get a lemon).

Yes the PAM 177 is almost as accurate as a PAM 111, since they have the same dial the same movement and dispaly caseback. Just change the finish (brushed-polished) and the material (Ti-SS). Both are Super reps. But if you are very picky you should know that the display caseback of a.m. watches shows some evident flaws.

But the Super reps PAM world doesn't finish in PAM 111 and PAM 177. You have many other Super reps., even better in my opinion, and many First Class reps.

i believe comparing side to side with normal eye range for about 30cm
its hard to detect flaws from the back display case :gotgoat:
i remember seeing someone said, even comparing side to side with gen, we wont know any diff, unless using macro pict.
am i correct?

Difficult to see it without some enlarged pics or lens and knowing the flaws you are searching for.

Purist don't like 177 because it is not "historical". I dunno know if the same attitude applies to the rep world, but judging from # of threads concerning 177, yeah it applies.
Less interest means less upgrade. Since the case is not interchangeable to 111, any upgrade to 111 (other than the dial & movt) may not carry over to 177.

288K looks a lot better in person.... just ask those who owned one :cheers:

Yes I too have decided to finally go for either 005 or the 111.

But I remember reading that the 005 dial print has some flaws which are evident when sitting side by side to a gen (font thickness)

Does such a problem exist with 111?

I also recall 111's sandwich dial being more shallow than the gen.

Are there any modders in the CONUS that can do the Y-incabloc and micrometer screw mod?

BTW, I just received my PAM111 V3 N today and I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the overall quality and accuracy. In all honesty I used to think Panerai was too gaudy and garish but now I can't stop looking at PAMs online. Already looking into my next one.
