No one can tell you if it will look right as this is a very 'personal' thing and you have both opposing views in this thread. I have about 7" sparrow wrists and whilst I have had a 42mm LMPO and also a DSSD, I sold both as I am more comfortable with smaller watches. My favourite watch is a 36mm DJ.

My suggestion would be buy it, if you like it keep it. If you don't like it sell it on in m2m

I just measured again and I'm 6.75". It all depends on the shape of your wrist and how the bone structure is. If you size the bracelet correctly it really doesn't matter. If you size it too loosely then you have issues with the watch head flopping around and moving back and forth. That will remind you that you have a larger watch on your wrist.

The 40mm polar is also a great watch. I go back and forth with it and nearly bought the gen several times. You can get them in the mid $3k range used, so it is a great value, too. In 2010 I passed on a NOS one at an AD here for $3,400. Doh!! They are two completely different watches, though. The quality of the new style Oyster bracelets is stellar. It really screams quality and there is no comparison to the old 78360 bracelet. Also, the dial and lume markers, readability at night, are much better on the new one. I think it is a better all around watch.

Agree on the new generation construction. Much better. I guess you could always pull the trigger. And if it doesn't work. The m2m sales would snap it up in a heartbeat.

Mate I have a 6.5" wrist and I can wear a 47mm PAM so you have nothing to worry about.

Yeah and you could wear a 50mm watch too. It's a matter or what you are used to wear, personal taste and also functionality (if its too big and tall and doesnt sit flush on your wrist it will be moving around and can be uncomfortable when wearing long hours).
For my 6.5 " wrist a 44mm Pam is as big as I like to wear, if its white dial then 42mm if it's black I can go up to 45mm. A rule of thumb is, if the case lugs extend beyond your wrist boundaries then the watch case will be banging around objects more frequently and will scratch more than if it was protected inside your wrist limits.
